My Australian Background
As mentioned in the previous page, I orginally from Hong Kong, able to speak two Chinese languages and English. I come to Australia for my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Science. After I graduated, I successfully employed by a few Victorian companies, working on administrative and sales duties.

The Begin of My Employment
My first official employment was a shutter retail company, located in Nunawading, Melbourne. It customises the designs and specifications of plantation shutters. This job was a full-time onsite administrative employment. I was responsible for all paperwork, sales & marketing tasks, enquiries addressing, customer service and after-sales support.
After six months, I found I wanted to take more challenges. Thus, I decided to resign and associated with a wholesale company.

The Wholesale Admin Story
My second employment was also an administrative role, in a wholesale company, selling toys, artificial flowers, home & decor supplies and gifts. It was located in Highett, Melbourne. My duties involved with enquiries addressing, customer service, order & payment processing.
I also needed to record and organise inventory stocks and its stocked locations. Regularly updated database and refreshed product ranges were also my routine.

The Compliance Journey
After a few months of wholesale admin opportunity, I began a different administrative journey -- a Compliance Officer role at an Victorian energy rebate company. This position provides uncommon challenges which perfectly met my expectations. I got the chance to lead the whole compliance department and provided training to the new colleague. I worked closely with the warranty and sales departments. Therefore, I enjoyed my time at the company, that's why I finished my three-month probation period within two months, which was one-month ahead.
Meanwhile, I maintained a good relationship with technicians and other contractors for verifying installation certificates. However, I still wanted to join other different industries to explore and advance my skills. Therefore, I left the company after four months.
The Last Employment
Throughout the employment journey, I found out I am ready for running a business or more than one. As a result, I applied a real estate reception role at a well-known real estate agency in Box Hill, Melbourne, to learn how to deal with difficult and busy environment.
This role involved with administrative, marketing, and financial duties. This increased my busy level, but I enjoyed the challenges (only after one month 🙄). I was responsible for answering enquiries, re-directing phone calls to the appropriate property manager or the sales agent, as well as to manage over 250 invoices / bills for the property owners, to prepare property inspection / auction documents and promotion material.
I used Microsoft Excel to create tables and lists for task progress record. For example, Key Logs, Petty Cash transactions, general task progress.
I always plotted graphs to analyse my personal finance situation. I can use this skill to analyse customer's financial condition and to provide practical strategies.
Lastly, I am able to follow-up or track on the property inspection status in order to speed up the property sales or rent successful progress.
